20 and 21 personnel RPO Game-Run Pass Options at the college and NFL LeveL

Run pass options are important part of the game. Here are some that you will see out of 2 back personnel.

21 personnel

Kansas comes out in unbalanced and shifts to split back twins left with the tight end on the right. They do a great job faking the pin and pull to the boundary and hitting the glance route on the rpo.

Shifts to split back twins with the TE closed to the boundary.

Great fake on the pin and pull and they hit #2 on the glance route.

RPO arrow route with 2 blockers.

2 back RPO

Now, this is an  Rpo and has some zone read elements, with the Qb reading the DE/LB, the nice part about this it is a designed pass to the HB and the wr are blocking downfield, which makes me thing it's an RPO. If the DE Takes QB I assume he gives it, but I know some teams who read the LB for the pass option which makes sense to me.

Excellent design and play in short yardage.

Have 2 blockers on the perimeter

Good execution

The Bengals run some nice RPO's off of 2 back. Glance Route

The Bengals run a nice same side rpo to Green off the pin and pull action and the center wrapping for the de. The Lg and LT combo to the lb and the te in the backfield leads. He pulls it after reading the SS and throws the slant in the window for 12

Sell the run action and get the wr on the glance route

Nice fake off 2 back and cover 3 which opens up the window.

Baylor: 

Baylor 20 personnel RPO off of outside zone. Baylor runs the glance route with #2. The run action gets the FS to open to the field, opening the backside for the glance route.

The defense sends the sam and goes 3 under 3 deep.

You see the #2 wr starting to run the glance he splits the curl flat and Hooke defender. The FS opens up to play the outside zone.

Glance window is open an an easy read for the qb. He throws a good ball for the completion.

Baylor comes out in 20 personnel under Art Briles.

They run a nice rpo with the FB leading on the linebacker. He bluffs and is wide open over the middle. Excellent rpo to incorporate into the offense.

Eagles 20 personnel, but come out 2x2.
They run zone slice with an rpo.

Great play action and nice slice block. Good read by the qb Hurts.

Good job and execution as they get the ball out in the flat. Nice design and easy completion.

These are some Run Pass options you will see out of 20 and 21 personnel. I will add more as I come across them in my off season analysis.
