Attacking the Tite and Odd Front in the Run Game With Super Gap Schemes
This article looks at how teams attack the tite and odd front. We will take a look at some runs vs the tite and odd front that incorporate 3 pullers. We have several schemes which I highlighted in the article. Some involve 3 OL pulling, others 2 OL and either a RB or H back as a puller. The last scheme is 1 puller and 2 RB leading. All involve 3 people leading the way.
1.Super Counter
2. QB Super Counter
3. Super Pin and Pull
4.Super QB Sweep
5. Super G wrap 20 personnel
Super Counter
UCF runs super counter. The 3 pullers are the running back the Center and backside guard. This is an excellent scheme and well run play. They are able to do this because the running back is off the line of scrimmage and have 3 lead blockers on the play.
The QB delays to allow the RB to get out there and lead it. The QB in this situation is the rb so it is actually a wildcat situation.
They go wildcat but you can do this with a running qb.
The QB follows the RB and his 2 blockers.
The RB makes a nice cut as the LB is scraping to the c gap.
