Kansas Offense: The World of Shift, motions and Unbalanced Formations!
Kansas was a very fun offense in 2023. They were led by Coach Lance Leipold and Andy Kotelnicki. They used numerous formations and many shifts and motions to get great results. They often forced teams to get generic which often led to getting zone coverages on the other side of the ball. They would run some wildcat, wacky formations with many unbalanced looks that kept defenses off balance. They were an excellent run team which you will see below. Because of the solid run game, they would often get big results in play action, coming 2nd in the country at 10.1 yards per pass.

Unbalanced #1
Kansas comes out in wing rt out of unbalanced, They shift to a tight slot look with twins on the other side.
The defense is in the tite front. They create good angles with the formation and run duo with a lead concept.
