Kansas State Offense-Unbalanced Playbook: Some run and pass plays to add to your scheme
This article looks at some plays from the very efficient Kansas State offense.
We will take a look at some of their sets and unbalanced plays they designed off of it. Some you may want to incorporate into your playbook.
#1 Zone Read Bluff
13P or 22 depending on what you consider 44.
The formation is tackle over with a te and h back on the weakside.
K State runs zone read and the H back will bluff the DE and block the play side ILB. This is a designed zone read run.
The H influences the DE,bypasses him and blocks the LB
This creates a nice lane with 3 solid blocks on the perimeter.
#2 Super Pin and Pull
They come out in 11p with trips left Y over to give you the unbalanced look. They run super pin and pull.
Super pin and pull is when you pull 3 blockers on the play. They pull both guards and the play side tackle.
