LA Rams Sean McVay's use of Subtle Motion
Bunch Subtle Motion outside
In the play below they motion to the outside and creates leverage for the y cross, dig combination on the inside.
After the motion, the Ravens are playing outside man on #2 and #3 is being played by the safety at 10 yards. They may be playing combo with those 2 but #1 is being clearly played by the CB. The Ravens get confused as the Rams WR stack each other and the #3 runs a nice pic for #2 on the crossing route.
You can see the leverage is established for the y cross. They run a beautiful route and it’s wide open.

Example #2
They run a nice 3 man concept and Stafford reads the pressure and throws hot off the overload rusher.
Giants bring the slot and play cover 3 with this fire zone. Stafford sees it and hits the hitch route.
Nice read by Stafford in this situation.

Example #3
The 2nd time they run it they Ravens play it straight. The SS takes #2 and the Deep Safety takes #3. They declare it early and Kupp beats #2 on the outside corner concept.
The alignment after the motion.
Kupp runs a good deep out route and beats the jam by the nickel in this situation.
After the mised jam, Kupp is wide open on the out route.
