Michigan Motion Adjustments-How they handle Motion with coverage checks and pressure.

In the TCU game they did a few things,

Man blitz behind it, Now although I am not sure if this was a coverage check or a straight out call, they went cover 0 a few times with the concept vs TCU. When they got jet motion, the safety to the boundary blitzed and the LB on the slot travelled with him and they played man.

In the example below they bring the free and the ILB vs motion. They have 3 over 1 with the slice and probably would have been no gain if the LB didn’t fill so wide.But the LB had to go outside because he was combo on the H with the play side safety so that became his responsibility

The numbers are good and hthey have every gap filled but the mike goes too wide which allows the tackle to. block the safety , they salvage a few yards on the play. But the LB had to go with the H back because they were playing combo. He has the h back in man combo.
