Running Boot with Condensed Sets. 4 man flood patterns
The Seahawks run boot in various ways. They will run it with 2x2 and 3x1 condensed sets.
The 1st is they run it from condensed sets. The philosophy behind this is they run it from condensed to get 4 wr to the side of the boot. The 4th wr will often be a tight end who blocks then releases. This isn’t possible if you run it from a spread formation. They will do it from 3x1 sets as well as 2x2 out of 12, 13 and 11P.
The other type of boot they run is off of motion. This is a 3 man concept off the fast jet like motion with WR coming in the other direction. This creates movement in the secondary and at the LB level which often allows the
Condensed Boot 2x2
Running boot from condensed 2x2 sets is another way to get 4 players to the side of the Boot. It is quite successful.
Here are 2 variations
In the first example the H on the right blocks and then releases to the flat as the safety valve. They get the 4 man concept with the H off the other side coming to the side of the boot.

Condensed Boot 3x1 to the 3x1 side
The Seahawks run the same play vs the Saints and Lions but from 2 different formations.
You have 2 run the corner, 1 run the out and the backside #1 runs the cross. The #3 WR, the TE will block then release as a safety valve.
In the next example they come out in 11P. Again they get the 4 man route concept to the side of the boot.

When they played the 49ers, for protection purposes against a great pass rusher in Bosa, they had the other TE block and aligned the other TE inside as a slot. They released him to the flat but this was just as slight adjustment. The routes were the same.
You can run it with max vs a good defensive end.
These are just some of the ways the Seahawks run boot from 3x1. I hope you find these plays useful and implement them into your playbook!
