Same Side Counter- Oregon and Josh Heupel's Variations

One where the H back is on the same side running the same side counter. This scheme was popular with Josh Heupel when he was at UCF. The other is Oregon who runs it with the H back coming from the other side.

The Tackle will block down unless the 5 technique crosses his face then he will take him. THe H back will lead for the OLB and the Guard will kick out. The H plays off the guard which you will see on film.

The last team to run the same side counter is Florida State.

They pull the center and tackle to the 2i. This creates a good angle for the guard.
